Agronomist Report

Dear Ms Steele,

I apologize for the delay in getting this info to you. In regards to your query about beauty products and crops to grow, as you the industry is in need of change due to the toxic chemicals used in many beauty products. There are a few good books on this subject. Getting to the question of what to grow, I would advise you to go the route of creating value added products. Here is a list of some crops to grow which will set your group ahead of the pack in this area. There are fruits and veggies that enhance beauty and you can find info on these on the net. I think that herbal preparations would be the way to go.

1.Calendula. Bright annual flower
2.Cucumber…add the juice to your creams and ointments you will make
3.Lavender. Put in as many plants as possible (so many uses …do net search)
4.Luffa (skin sponges)
5.Mint …all varieties
6.Parsley
7.Sage
8.Cinnamon Basil
9.Blue Borage

I think the thing to do is to start small and build upon this base. Now would be the time to start procuring seed/plant sources for these crops.  I can guide you on production in the field and value added.

NWIAA is awesome and helping many!

Sincerely,

Che Axum
